The Sweet Ride (released 12 June 1968): a cross-over Beach Party / Biker Movie, adapted by Tom Mankiewicz (Diamonds Are Forever 1971), from the novel by Edward Murray, loaded with cyncism, fading youth, lost innocence and nostalgia for the sunshine and fun of the early sixties. The final film of producer Joe Pasternak (Where The Boys Are 1960, Girl Happy 1965, Spinout 1966), starring newcomes Jacqueline Bisset and Michael Sarrazin; and beach and musical movie veterans Tony Franciosa, Michele Carey and Bob Denver. Cameo by Lee Hazlewood, music performance by Moby Grape.
