Beach Blanket Bingo (1965) co-stars Annette Funicello (1942 – 2009), Frankie Avalon (b. 1939) and Jody McCrea (1934 – 2009) whose presence as a lovable bonehead defined the canonical six Beach Party movies: Beach Party (1963), Muscle Beach Party, Bikini Beach, Pajama Party (1964), Beach Blanket Bingo and How to Stuff a Wild Bikini (1965).
