Canadian Actress marries English Hairdresser


Jan 11, 2002: Catya Sassoon, 33, a model and actress who was the daughter of celebrity hairstylist Vidal Sassoon and actress Beverly Adams, died Jan. 1 at her home in Hollywood Hills, Calif. Determination of the cause of death is under investigation by the Los Angeles coroner’s office. Ms. Sassoon dropped out of Beverly Hills High School at 14 to pursue a modeling career in New York. She signed with the Prestige Agency and later appeared on the covers of Seventeen, Bride and other magazines. She made her movie debut in 1985, appearing opposite James Spader and Robert Downey Jr. in “Tuff Turf.” Other film credits included “Bloodfist IV: Die Trying,” “Modern Girls,” “Angelfist” and “Dance With Death.” The Washington Post.
