John Ashley; TV Actor, Producer of ‘A-Team’

John Ashley, 62, an actor and producer or co-producer of such TV series as “The A-Team,” “Walker Texas Ranger,” “Hardball” and “Something’s Out There.” As a beginning actor he was seen in several beach-oriented, low-budget pictures of the 1960s, including “Beach Party” and “Beach Blanket Bingo.” In 1963, he played Hermy in “Hud,” probably his best-remembered role. He also was a regular on TV’s “The Beverly Hillbillies,” playing one of Ellie May’s suitors. In New York City on Saturday, while on the set of his latest feature film, “Scarred City.” Los Angeles Times.
