Aron Kincaid, who appeared in many of the popular beach party pics of the 1960s, died Jan. 6 in Los Angeles of heart failure. He was 70. Kincaid was featured in “The Girls on the Beach,” “Beach Ball,” “Ski Party,” “The Ghost in the Invisible Bikini” and “Dr. Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine.” At one time he was so popular that his fan mail was reportedly more than that of Frankie Avalon or Annette Funicello. … Born Norman Neale Williams II, Kincaid made a few uncredited appearances in films including Roger Corman’s 1959 “The Wasp Woman” and 1960’s “Spartacus” even while in college. Leonard Freeman also used the thesp as Noreen Corcoran’s b.f. in 1957’s “The Bachelor Father.” … After graduating from UCLA, Kincaid went into the Coast Guard Reserve, but with his height, blond hair and tan, he was a natural for the party pics starting with 1965’s “The Girls on the Beach,” at Paramount. Pic, co-starring Corcoran, included music from the Beach Boys and the Crickets. That same year he appeared in Edd Byrnes-Chris Noel starrer “Beach Ball,” with music by the Supremes and the Righteous Brothers, and the Frankie Avalon-toplined “Sky Party,” with tunes by James Brown and Lesley Gore. He was signed to American Intl. Pictures and appeared in “The Ghost in the Invisible Bikini” and “Dr. Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine.” Variety.
